We’ve been eating here for about a decade. Like a lot of places, the menu has shrunk a bit, but everything is still really good. This is where many members of our family ask to go for birthday meals. The crepes are particularly popular and good. Note they aren’t the thin French style, rather more like a thin pancake.I think I’ve had to wait for a table every time I’ve gone there. It’s not a very big space, but I appreciate them focusing on quality over quantity.

Quick service, friendly staff, unique car-themed decor, and tasty and affordable food. Wonderful pit-stop on Hwy101!

Checked the reviews for breakfast places while staying in Crescent City and as we were headed north we decided on Mattie's instead of Crescent City due to the reviews and they were not wrong! Fantastic birthday breakfast, we were greeted on entry and brought to a table the last in the restaurant which was packed with locals and tourists alike. Definitely the favorite spot to eat!I had the Tomato and Spinach Eggs Benedict which was delicious and they actually made my hash browns crispy as requested! My daughter had the French Toast which was a large portion and she inhaled it. Our food came quickly and was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious and bonus great value for money. Service was great and all the staff was working very diligently. I loved the bathroom signage, well done having gender neutral bathrooms!I will definitely be back next time I drive through. This is our go-to breakfast spot when visiting Brookings. The ladies are all so nice and the food is great. The French toast was melt in your mouth wonderful and good size portions for breakfast. I had the meat lovers omelet and boyfriend had the eggs Benedict and we shared the red white and blue French toast.

An outstanding little breakfast / lunch restaurant on Highway 101. The staff is really friendly and they really hustles around the restaurant making sure everyone is served quickly and every table is set up properly with a full set of condiments and flatware. They buzz around non-stop taking care of everything. I had the strawberry waffle and coffee. It was really tasty and it was prepared quickly. The interior of the restaurant is smaller and I suspect they get very busy but I don't get the impression the service would suffer at all. Great atmosphere, for sure.
