Stunning views, delicious food at House Canteen! Recommend everyone visit, though servers should wear masks for hygiene concerns.

It's a good spot with great vibe and seating. But can't really complain/comment much on their food and drinks, as the main attraction is the views and seating (for me at least). We generally get their starters and cold drinks as they don't have halal options. The pizzas and fries are good but not great, tried their mocktails on this Syd visit, but was a bit disappointed as they were very well served but way too sweet, hence taking down a star. The staff is very nice though, always warm, welcoming and greeting you with a smile.

We came here for dinner before a show at the opera house after not being able to get a seat at a table at Opera Bar, but in the end I'm glad we stopped here instead! We were expecting the food to be a bit pricey given the fabulous location but we were pleasantly suprised that we didn't pay more then we would at any other moderate restaurant in the city. I got the salt and pepper calamari, which was cooked perfectly , not battered too heavily and was light a crispy with just a hint of spice. It also came with a really nice yuzu mayo which was light and tangy. My friend got the spring rolls, which were a generous serving for the price and very tasty. We also ordered a bowl of chips to share which easily could be shared by 3-4 people. The service is also great, but be aware that the whole concourse area is extremely loud around dinner time and finding a table can be a bit of a headache.

Great service. A seagull stole some of our sashimi and they replaced it. Keep the lids on. Was affordable and nice. You might need to get extra soy which we did A+ for service and food was very yummy. View is fabulous

I recently had the delightful opportunity to dine at this restaurant, a fortunate discovery made by chance. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive range of options available, catering wonderfully to plant-based preferences. The food was not only wholesome and healthy but also quick to prepare, a testament to the kitchen’s efficiency. What stood out was the skillful balance of simple ingredients transformed into dishes that were both visually appealing and delicious in taste. This place clearly demonstrates that health-conscious food need not be bland or uninteresting.I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to others and look forward to revisiting it in the future. An additional charm of this eatery is its location. If you visit during the late afternoon, as the sun sets, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the harbor and the iconic house with sails. 😊This scenic backdrop added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already wonderful dining experience. 100% recommend.
