New to Pine Island, we asked advice from numerous folks on who they would recommend for our major remodel. Stearns was always the number one answer so it made our decision very easy. In many ways a remodel can actually be more difficult than a new home but Stearns was with us all the way as we uncovered pilings that needed to be replaced, prepared for a hurricane and uncovered numerous issues common to a 45 year old house. The quality was amazing and if a sub didn't perform to their standards, they fixed it themselves. A big plus was their connections with local trades and inspectors which is a result of a great reputation built over many years of doing quality work. We only wish we had more homes for them to remodel!

Stearns Builders is a top notch builder on Pine Island. Derrick and his team are very detail oriented. From our first phone call with Darcey thru every office and onsite meeting with Derrick, Mike and Mark we knew we had chosen wisely. Our home is on a very unique lot and required many permits and variances. Derrick was very professional and patient in dealing with the county board and officials. I am positive we would not have obtained our permitting without him. When it came to the actual build process both Derrick and our project manager, MIke listened and found a way to make our every request become a reality. We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful home.

Stearns Custom Builders has not only worked in our house once but twice. When we purchased a home that was built in 1969, we knew that meant gutting the entire insides and rebuilding it all. Derrick Stearns answered our questions, helped us with an overall plan, estimated our costs and put our minds at ease. Scott Stearns did most of the carpentry in our entire house himself, and he has one of the most amazing eyes for detail! Meanwhile, the girls in the office worked closely with us to design and decorate. This pleasant experience did not happen just once for us but twice. If you are looking for a customized experience and want a quality product, Stearns Custom Builders will provide just that!

Stearns Custom Builders built our wonderful home last year. The company is a joy to deal with when building a home. They are very detail oriented, and helped us to plan out every aspect of the building process.Their craftsman are excellent in fine tuning everything from the trim work, to the cabinetry.The company is also very budget conscious. The kept us well advised to all matters in pricing our home and gave us options where we could save money.We are so glad we chose Stearns - They are the BEST.

Our experience with Stearns Builders could not have been better. They greatly exceeded our expectations of building a new home. The Stearns team paid such great attention to every detail that our participation was much less than what we thought it would have to be. We were out of the area so had to place our trust with the builder. They did not disappoint! There was not one flaw in the construction of our beautiful home. It was done efficiently without compromising quality. We are so happy and would highly recommend Stearns Builders for any project.
