Beware of this courthouse. It is the devil's throne. They lie so much in these courtrooms that they believe their lies.Protect your rights at all costs. That is all the defense you have against the prosecutors and courts.[They] do not care who is lying or telling the truth because they lie too. To get their conviction rates up. That is what it is about at this courthouse.Read the Constitution to be reminded of your rights.

Uncomfortable (and not enough) benches (not chairs) if you get called to go upstairs to report for jury duty. Road closures on 2nd/Grand which made it very difficult to find the parking lot. Would have been nice if they had mentioned road closures and detours to the Disney Hall juror parking lot over the jury duty phone line or the my jury duty portal. Had to walk 4 blocks in the rain. Huge hassle and inconvenience. Another suggestion would be is to get paid day of or week of your service and mileage reimbursement, or even a free meal voucher at the cafeteria, since there is nowhere to eat close by . For people working full time jobs that have to report for jury duty, please consider making this an easier process for us. Last suggestion: maybe also select people who aren’t working (SSI/SSD/GR/EBT Snap/Non Employed) who also can also contribute and be jurors. They have more time/flexible lifestyles than the people who get called in who work full time…

This is where I have to go for Jury Duty since they wouldn't allow me to go to a closer court house near where I'm at. I believe the majority of us don't like getting called up but it's our duty as a US citizen. Jurors can part at the Disney concert hall and if you scan your badge then parking will be free. Checking in was easy if you did the orientation online before showing up so you can come in a little later. But it's LA so traffic will be horrible if you try to drive after 8am. The waiting room is okay if you're able to find a spot. I sat in the computer area so I could use my iPad when studying for my certification exam. They have wifi here as well and a power plug in some of the seats (not all seats have a power outlet). The way they announce who get assigned to which department or courthouse is by someone saying jurors name selected on a mic versus just putting the name on the TV there. The food at the cafeteria is okay, not my favorite and the line could be a while if everyone goes at lunch time.

PARKING! So there is no public parking at the court house, and the closest lot is $20 a day. I recommend parking in the building on 2nd st between Broadway and Spring. Only $7 a day and is only 2 short blocks away. On my last day I was given a certificate and told I could present it at Walt Disney for free parking if I parked in their parking structure.

Free wifi, cable connections are available, the seats are uncomfortable. There is no public parking. I overheard parking at the Disney concert hall will be free when presented the juror badge which would've been useful to know before arriving as I had to pay for public parking after looking around for 15 minutes!
