About Us:

The doctors at RiseUpMD are passionate and knowledgeable about the benefits of medical marijuana and have helped thousands of patients become fully legal in accordance with New York state law.

RiseUpMD.com was founded in 2015 with the belief that medical cannabis has the potential to provide relief to millions of people in New York, yet the current cannabis industry has not given people a safe or reliable way to do so. Medical marijuana doctor’s offices often have long wait times, inflated pricing, and some even fail to follow New York medical cannabis laws, putting their patients at risk.

The doctors and staff at RiseUpMD.com are unified by a single goal of improving the cannabis industry by providing patients with safe, convenient, and fully legal way to talk a doctor about getting a medical marijuana recommendation in New York from their phone, computer, or tablet.

Our platform is HIPAA-compliant and ensures that your personal information is never shared with anyone but the doctor who evaluated you. Patients are only billed if approved by our doctor, so it’s 100% risk-free.

Once approved, your recommendation will be available for immediate use (by printing it out) and a physical recommendation and card is mailed the same day.

If you need to be near the courthouses or the legislature, the location is great. That's the one and only positive thing about this hotel. Most of the rooms have a terrible moldy smell and the air conditioning absolutely fails to keep up. This is partly because the indoor pool is not properly managed. Just last night, they had to close the pool because the water was too hot and all of the walls were sweating. Well that chlorinated steam spread through the entire conference area and most common areas. If that's not bad enough, the electrical system and the elevators make so much noise that the only rooms that are inhabitable are the ones ending in 16 through 25. If you're unlucky to have one of the rooms closer to the elevators, bring ear plugs. Add to that the fact that front desk charges you $6 for a bottle of soda and doesn't disclose to you that in the basement there's a vending machine that charges half the price, vending signs that point to a room that doesn't actually have vending machines on any of the floors, and an executive lounge that apparently only opens for breakfast and dinner, defeating the definition of the word lounge. When these issues are brought up to the staff, absolutely no effort is made to make anything right or offer some form of compensation. Basically, the sign says Hilton but you're staying at a Hampton inn at best...

Rooms were clean, but the air conditioning unit just doesn't work. We had it set to 50 degrees at the max possible settings in late May and the room actually increased in temperature to 78 degrees. We opened the windows at night to try to address this, but my options for temperature control should never be just outdoor temperature or 80 degrees. I could barely sleep.

Check in was easy and quick. When we got up to our room it was 78 degrees. We attempted to turn up the air and went out to eat. When we got back the room, it was actually hotter. We called down and the sent an electrician up right away which was great! He informed us that the thermostat was shot and we’d have to call down and move to a different room. There were no more king rooms but we were move to a double queen and the air worked better. The shower didn't drain well so I was standing in water up to my ankles. I also am always a little confused and annoyed when parking is an additional charge at a hotel. It was a very mediocre experience.

Very kind staff and a good gym and lounge. My lower rating comes from the room quality. The rooms are pretty simple with no frills, which is always fine by me. I noticed some dried rings of water on the bedside table which made me question the cleanliness of the space. Lighting in the bathroom is great, but lighting in the main room is lacking. With the curtains open and all lights on, it’s still quite gloomy. The WiFi is unreliable on mobile and required several attempts to connect to on a laptop. Finally, I generally run warm but my room was very cold. It feels like there’s a draft in here even though I have the heat on. I turned on the heat to get my room to 70 degrees and it took 24 hours to get the thermostat to read 70, and it still feels super cold. The air coming from the vents is lukewarm at best even though I have the air set to high. It’s also been above freezing during my time in Albany so it’s not like this should be a challenge for a heating system.I wouldn’t say to avoid this hotel at all costs, but I would recommend seeing if you can find something better first.

I stayed at Hilton Albany for the weekend and it was amazing , I was greeted by such an amazing front desk receptionist named Ms. Star. She assisted us with the greatest smile & answered any and all questions that I had. I shared my fear of elevators and she reassured me that the elevators are safe and would not have any problems in using them with a smile. Ms. Star was truly a pleasure to have as our front desk receptionist. She knew the facility well and was confident when answering questions & giving directions. My family and I were able to check in early to our rooms and the rooms were nice & clean. I want to give Star my personal thanks for being the blessing and great person assisting us during our stay.
